When people can't go to Águeda to see the colorful umbrellas.. We bring the Umbrella Sky Project to them!
As it's impossible for the elderly to leave homes and community centers, we decided to brighten and color the lives of these people.
At the beginning of August, we surprised users of the Gafanha do Carmo Community Center, in Aveiro, Portugal, and recreated the streets of Águeda in the center's patio.
We donated around 80 colorful umbrellas, some of which were personalized by users of the Community Center, with hand-painted beach shells.
There were several days of customization activity and a day to assemble the installations that we so enjoyed doing so much! At the end of that day, users had a nice snack in the shade of the colorful Umbrella Sky!
