In 2021, the inspiration for Águeda was the garden and its flowers!
After the year 2020 that didn't allow us to decorate the streets of Águeda, as usual, we returned with lots of colors and lots of flowers, without forgetting the health professionals who do so much for us.
The main street of Umbrella Sky Project (Luís de Camões street) was decorated with strong colors between yellow, blue, pink, red, orange. The Vasco da Gama and Jornal Soberania do Povo streets have umbrellas with warmer tones between light pink, dark pink and orange. For José Maria Velosa street, were used transparent umbrellas with flower-shaped vinyl and suspended sunflowers. This street was inspired by Van Gogh's sunflowers, which are a symbol of happiness and gratitude.
Iconic installations such as Golden Dots Invasion (Dr. Eng. Júlio Portela street) and Color Rain (Dr. Eugénio Ribeiro avenue) were also part of this year's project.
A very ecological and environmentally friendly novelty was the Tropicália installation made 100% with material reused from previous installation. The balloons of our Bubble Sky were transformed into thousands of colored leaves that filled the sky of Dr. Adolfo Portela street (in front of São Sebastião chapel).
Colorful swallows flew down São Bento street, the benches were painted with colorful flowers, the street lamps were decorated with lots of color and the Adro stairs were painted with a mural in honor of all health professionals who give their best to take care of us.
