The city of Águeda has always been known for its booming industry and business, especially the metalworkers.
This is where the inspiration for the theme of our art installations at Agitágueda'18 comes from. The production of bicycles used to be so important that the city became known as the city of bicycles until colorful umbrellas took over the small streets of the city center as part of the "Agitágueda" art festival.
In addition to the usual installations with umbrellas, we had the "Bubble Sky" on Dr. Adolfo Portela Street and also the “Colorful Rain” installation on Dr. Eugénio Ribeiro Avenue.
The works of Czech artist Michal Trpak were present in this edition of Agitágueda with the installation “Slight Uncertainty” and a giant sculpture, “The Thinker”.
