In 2015 the inspiration for this project was the Portuguese Culture.
Therefore, we resorted to the use of traditional elements as characteristic as the Portuguese tile, used to decorate stairs in a very colorful way, in the Miguel Maria Veloso Street there were laced decorated umbrellas, maritime elements that recall the Portuguese connection to the sea in the Vasco da Gama Street, and striped umbrellas decorated with buoys, anchors and 3D sardines.
We used emblematic Portuguese characters in the garden benches, such as Amália Rodrigues or Cristiano Ronaldo in stencil and pointillism. For the electric poles, the decoration had Barcelo's roosters, sardines, Viana' hearts, etc. Still, in the historic Barril neighborhood, we adorned the streets and houses with colorful swallows that represent homesickness and migration.
