This year the sea and fishing were the inspiration for the installations in Ovar!
The streets of this Portuguese city, in addition of being decorated with fish and colored algae, forming corridors that look like authentic entrances into the ocean, were also lit with blue and green lights that give even more the feeling of magic to the installations.
Two streets of the installations made in Ovar were made with material reused from installations from previous years. The "Waves of Neptuno" of 2020 Carnival were transformed into seaweed of various sizes and shapes with shades of blue and white that invaded the Dr. Nogueira de Almeida and Pedro Nunes streets.
Dr. Manuel Arala street begins with a giant fishmonger with a fishing net full of colorful fishes that runs along the entire street.
The inauguration of these art installations will be on July 22, with several days of exhibitions and concerts, always with due distance and rules of hygiene and safety.
