For the second consecutive year we bring Christmas magic to Foz Côa!
For Christmas this year, the decorations are in shades of gold. Between umbrellas, golden ribbons and golden stars, there are several art installations that we made to decorate the city.
On Dr. Juiz Moutinho de Andrade's street, the Umbrella Sky Project brings the sky to life with transparent umbrellas decorated with a pattern of golden stars.
On Júlio de Moura's street, thousands of golden ribbons cover the street sky moving with the wind. Our Gold Rain is really impressive!
The front of the Town Hall was decorated with golden and light curtains, and the square in front of it was decorated with different Christmas tree than the traditional one. This Christmas tree is about 6 meters high, and is covered with golden ribbons to match Júlio de Moura's street. It still has lights and a star on top. In this square you can also find a little Christmas house to take instagrammble photos.
On Forfola street, there is a luminous gift that is 4 meters high.
The front of the Igreja Matriz was also decorated with curtains of light and golden stars, a tunnel of light at the church door and 2 lead soldiers.
The roundabouts in Vila Nova de Foz Côa and Avenida Gago Coutinho have their letters illuminated, as well as the inside of the fountain and the road dividers.
These Christmas art installations can be visited for free from December 6, 2022 to January 6, 2023.
